Bing is not going to be happy about these poll results!
…no sirry, they won’t be happy about these poll results.
I noticed on facebook (an ad) that there is a poll about usage of Bing. It asks the question “how likely are you to use Bing the next time you search for something online?”
Now if it’s Bing who is spending their advertising dollars for this poll, that’s double whammy loss. If it’s Google, I’m sure they are laughing out loud —at Bing’s expense, but it’s actually their expense $$$:
Exxon TV Commericals remind me the old tobacco ads endorsed by doctors!
…have you caught one of the new Exxon TV commercials where good looking middle-age gals and guys supposedly engineers, executives, or scientists smile into the camera and talk about how they have solved America’s energy needs through breakthrough new developments like sand oil, natural gas, drilling for this or that within the US, Alaska, or Canada?
Common message is Exxon = Innovation
But all they say is meaningless things like “same level of emissions as other oils" but either say it with a big smile or a serious face, making it sound like Exxon cares or is truly doing something different.
These commercials remind me of the 40s, 50s, and 60s magazine ads for different cigarette brands; where dentists, doctors, athletes, even babies were used.
They had messages/statements like:
More Doctors Smoke Camels than Any Other Cigarette!
20,679 Physicians say Luckies are less irritating
"As your dentist I’d recommend Viceroy"
Not one case of throat irritation due to smoking Camels
The 2011 Exxon commercials already feel like these cigarette ads today, I can’t imagine how they will feel in 5, 10, 20 years.
By the way, have you caught the spoof Exxon Commerical video?
